The sun was beating down hard at the missions, but that didn’t stop us from having a great shoot with Lindsay. We’re really excited for her and Chad’s wedding this month at the McNay.

Hello!! Welcome to our new blog!! This has been in the works for a while, and we are so excited to have it up and going now. We just are wanting to keep you all up to date on the latest here at La-Vie Studio, and in case you aren't familiar with us let me introduce ourselves. La-Vie Studio was born in 2005, and although that may not seem like a long time in business years we are a well established photography studio in and around the San Antonio area. We've photographed all around Texas, from as far north as Dallas to as far south as the coast. We have four photographers on staff that come from various backgrounds, but we all share the same passion: photography. It's our mix of backgrounds that help us produce the images that we do. From the fine arts perspective, graphic design, or even the military training we all possess something that adds a little extra to our images. We all have had extensive training in photography and make it a point to continue learning our field especially since it is constantly changing in this digital age. So, that's us in a nutshell. They say a picture says a thousand words, so I hope our images speak for themselves, and allows you to see our vision. Please feel free to comment and share with us in our blog. We look forward to hearing from each and every one of you!

We had the pleasure of shooting Wilsu and Joe’s beautiful wedding at the Weston Centre downtown recently. The weekend’s festivities began on Friday with the pithi ceremony in the morning and mehndi party in the evening. On Saturday, the weather threatened to keep everyone inside, but it turned out to be a wonderful day. Wilsu and Joe are a great couple and we are so happy for them!
It’s been really busy at the studio lately and we have a lot of pictures to add to the blog, so let’s start with Julianne and John! We went to the Botanical Gardens for this shoot to take advantage of the nice weather and stop and smell a rose or two. I don’t remember if we saw any roses but I do remember we had a great time! Look for us in July on a trolley car downtown as we go from wedding to reception and stop to take some shots along the way.
We will be out of the office starting April 19th and will return on April 24th. If you need to contact us feel free to send an email to info@la-viestudio.com. Thank you.
Kathleen and Nick live in College Station and we recently had the opportunity to shoot their wedding at Club Giraud downtown. The ceremony featured beautiful floral arrangements and bouquets designed by the bride herself! Whether on the dance floor, in the photo booth, or hanging out in the relaxing atmosphere, everyone had a great time.
It’s springtime in Texas so the weather is either really nice or stay-indoors-rainy. Today is one of the latter days so let’s look back at some nicer weather with our couples. We have Kathleen and Nick in March, Wilsu and Joe in April, Sarah and Mike in May, and Katie and Blake in June.
Wow!!! What a beautiful bride and a beautiful place! For Courtney’s bridal we went to Castle Avalon. It’s a real castle right here in San Antonio, with Dragon and all! It used to be a bed and breakfast and now hosts events. It’s the perfect place for a Princess to get married. Courtney and Clay will have their ceremony and reception here on March 14, 2009.
Can’t find that perfect gift for your man? Why not have a Boudoir Session, and give him some pics he won’t soon forget! It’s a bit late for a Christmas present, but it’s the perfect time to plan ahead for Valentine’s Day! We will be hosting a Boudoir Marathon on the weekend of January 23-25 at a downtown hotel. This is how it works. Get together a group of friends and reserve a day. Each person will have a 20-30 minute time slot for a mini-session. Bring that cute nighty, or if you’re getting married you can even bring your veil. Please inquire for more details. Just remember, the more people you get together the lower the cost per person!
We’ve recently started up a new program here at the studio for all of our existing clients. As a thank you we would like to offer you 15% off any portrait sessions. Have an anniversary coming up, maybe there’s a baby on the way or you haven’t had that family portrait done in quite some time? Portraits are a wonderful keepsake of a special time in our lives. Please inquire for more information. We look forward to continue our relationship with you!
We will be out of office from December 20, 2008 through January 5, 2009. We will still be meeting for new client consultations during this time. If anyone needs to reach me for any reason please email me at info@la-viestudio.com. I will be checking my email periodically, and will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you. Have a wonderful Holiday Season!
